These terms and conditions govern your use of Facebook integration features within our auction platform. By connecting your Facebook account or using any Facebook-related features, you agree to comply with these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This integration allows you to enhance your auction experience by sharing content, connecting with other users, and accessing additional social features.
When you connect your Facebook account, we may collect and use the following information: your public profile information (name, profile picture, email address), your friend list for social features, posts and content you choose to share through our platform, and interaction data such as likes, comments, and shares. This data is used to personalize your experience, enable social features, facilitate communication with other users, and improve our services. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data and will never share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
Our platform requests the following Facebook permissions: Basic Profile Access to retrieve your name, profile picture, and email address for account creation and identification; Friends List Access to enable social features and help you connect with friends who are also using our platform; Publish Permissions to allow you to share auction items, results, and achievements on your Facebook timeline; and Read Permissions to access posts you choose to import or share through our platform. You can revoke these permissions at any time through your Facebook account settings or by disconnecting your Facebook account from our platform. Revoking permissions may limit certain social features but will not affect your core auction platform functionality.
You retain ownership of all content you create and share through our platform. However, by sharing content through Facebook integration, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content within our platform and through connected social media channels. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you share does not violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our community guidelines or these terms. Content shared through Facebook integration is subject to both our platform's terms and Facebook's terms of service and community standards.
You can link your Facebook account to your auction platform account at any time through your account settings. Linking your accounts enables enhanced social features, easier login options, and the ability to share your auction activities with your Facebook network. You can also unlink your accounts at any time, which will disable Facebook integration features but preserve your auction platform account and data. When you unlink your accounts, we will stop accessing your Facebook data, but previously imported information may be retained according to our data retention policies. Unlinking will not automatically remove content you've already shared on Facebook through our platform.
Facebook integration may be terminated under the following circumstances: violation of these terms or our general Terms of Service, violation of Facebook's terms of service or community standards, technical issues that prevent proper integration, or discontinuation of Facebook integration features by our platform. Upon termination, your access to Facebook integration features will be immediately suspended, and we will cease collecting new data from your Facebook account. You have the right to request deletion of Facebook-related data we have collected, subject to legal and operational requirements. Termination of Facebook integration does not affect your main auction platform account unless specifically stated.
We reserve the right to update these Facebook Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or Facebook's policies. When we make material changes, we will notify you through email, platform notifications, or by posting a notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Minor changes may be implemented immediately with notification. Your continued use of Facebook integration features after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may discontinue using Facebook integration features or unlink your Facebook account.
